SBC Independent Real Estate Group was formed in March 2006. The owner and
managing broker is Sharon Sharp Blount with nearly twenty years of real estate
experience. Sharon is originally from the Corpus Christi Texas area but has called
Edmond Oklahoma home, for more than twenty-five years. Sharon and her Company

The ABR designation is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation. This coveted designation is
awarded to real estate practitioners by the Real Estate Buyers Agent Council (“REBAC”) of the National
Association of REALTORS who meet the specified educational and practical experience criteria.
AHS - Accredited Home-Staging Specialist
The AHS course was designed with the real estate agent in mind. The course provides a foundation and solid
overview of all the key aspects of home staging by following basic interior design principles. It provides the real
estate agent an additional skill to efficiently and effectively facilitate a faster real estate trans-action. The AHS
designation is awarded after completion of the course and the passing of the final exam. Successful real estate
agents all agree...Staged Homes Sell Faster!
CRS - Certified Residential Specialist
The CRS designation is the highest designation awarded to REALTORS in the residential sales field. It recognizes
professional accomplishments and requires both experience and education. It is the PhD in real estate. Less than
4% of all REALTORS hold the CRS designation. Annual membership required to maintain
certification. All members are listed in The CRS National Membership Directory.
CSP - Certified New Home Sales Professional
The CSP Designation is recognized as Real Estate’s #1 certification representing professionalism in working with
Builders & New Home Buyers. Two (2) hours of continuing education each three years is required to maintain
certification along with annual membership dues. All members are listed in the national referral directory of The
NAHB University of Housing, an affiliate of the National Association of Home Builders.
SRES - Seniors Real Estate Specialist
The SRES designation is awarded to Realtors who have successfully completed its education program. By earning
this designation, your Realtor has demonstrated necessary knowledge and expertise to counsel clients age 50-plus
through major financial and lifestyle transitions involved in relocating, refinancing, or selling the family home. Your
Realtor has received special training, gets regular updates, and is prepared to offer the options and information
needed in making life changing decisions.
